I was wonderng if anybody out in the auto world might be able to help me.  I have a basic 2003 Silverado that I am attempting to install a remote power door lock kit from Icdynamics.  Everything looks to be installed properly but when the remote units are clicked the Door Lock Relay Module and the Control Module just click and click away but the actuators do absolutly nothing.

There are two main power wires, one each for the Relay Module and the Control Module. The relay module says to connect iis power line to a +12V Constant and the Control Module says to connect to a +12V main Power Input.

Does anyboy have any idea if these two wires can be connected to the same 'Red' power line from the ignition or must they be connected to separate lines?  Any why the Clicking ????

thanks in advance JJ

David

thanks for the reply.  I easily found the 2 red wires - so do you suppose both of the power wires can be spliced into the same wire or do they need separate power sources?

Also - any supposition on why the actuators do not work and why the modules just 'click away ' at me ??

as far as I know it was only a keyless entry . . . . . the basic truck I purchased did not have power locks.  they are what I am attempting to install.

OK... not to sound condescending or anything, but you did install power lock actuators in the doors, right?  I don't want to sound like an a**hole, but I have seen people try to put keyless entry in without power actuators in the doors.  I hope I am wrong, cause it is only common sense, but sometimes it gets forgotten.  If the relays are clicking, then the keyless entry part of it is doing its job, it must be somewhere between the relays and the doors.
If it don't fit, Force it.
If it breaks, You needed a new one anyway!

Condescending - No.  I did place the actuaters in the door. By the directions it is a very simple operation. There are only a few wires to connect. The actuators only have two wires each that are color coded to hook into the same color wires coming from the Relay Module

The CLICKING may be your actuators. When U mounted them, did U allow for motion of door locks?  I usually have the Door Locks in LOCK position and the actuators mounted and also in Lock position, but give the actuator about 1/4" -3/8" push/pull clearance.  Be sure U have a GOOD Ground for your Relay & Control Module.  Sometimes U can burn Relay Module if U allow it to "Click" repeatedly.
U may want to try each actuator by it sel, to make sure they are Locking & Unlocking prior to pluging in Modules

before connecting the actuators to the control module, i always check to make sure the actuators are in good working order by testing just their function with a 12 volt drill battery. if locks/unlocks without binding then i know it's good to go.
