Hello,

I am going to be installing an alarm and remote start in a friends 1999 Toyota 4Runner, and I cant for the life of me seem to find any websites that can give me the install info that I need for the car.   If this is unclear what I mean, I mean that I cant find the wire locations for the locks, lights, ect.  I could find them on my own, but sometimes that can be really frustrating and annoying.

So, does anyone know of a website where I can get that info (or even better, does anyone have that info they could email me?)\

Thanks.

also, if this post is going into the wrong forum, sorry about that.

* On the 2.7L engine there are 2 coils on the right front of the engine. Use the BLACK/ RED or BLACK/ BLUE for a 2 cylinder signal. On the 3.4L, the tach is BLACK at the igniter on the right side of the engine (6 cylinder signal).
You can also find a tach reference at the ECM module behind the glovebox. On the 2.7L, BLACK at pin-15 of the 26-pin connector.
** Both these wires must be connected and isolated with 2 IN4001 diodes. This will require 2 pulses to unlock the doors.
*** Doorpins are independent. Driver's door is BLACK in driver's kickpanel, rear doors are BLACK/ RED in driver's kick and BLACK/ WHITE is passenger door on back of fuse panel.
**** The GREEN/ ORANGE vss wire is located at the ECM behind the glovebox. On the 2.7L, pin-8 of the 22-pin connector. On the 3.4L, pin-22 of the 28-pin connector.

ASAP requests are all copy and pasted from various internet security sites.
Actual PDF form schematics are sent via e-mail upon the users request(s), if they wish to view them in their original form.
As always the information provided is simply a guide. It is not intended to replace the varification of the contact points without the use of a DMM, and one good working brain.
P.S.
You will find that mo12v will always supply you with a better *looking* wiring form. Just because he has to make me look bad !! [:o]
