Just installed rs on my 98chevy truck with a 555L passlock II bypass and now the check engine light is on.  I had the alarm and rs hooked up already with no problems and no light , but added the 555L last night so the rs will work and that got me the light on.

Does the truck start with the RS. If it does mabye the truck just needs to be flashed. But it should not have come on if the Passlock bypass was installed corredtly. Wierd

yeah it will start with the remote start and run just fine, have not tried to drive it after starting it this way, only to test that it works.  Only have started it with the key to drive it, don't want to mess anything up.  Not sure if it would or not, just being safe

did you solder all of your passlock wires?
yellow to the key
black to the ORANGE / black
yellow black to the truck side of the yellow wire in the passlock that you cut.
did you hook up the second ignition wire? (white in the ignition harness)
