Hey guys, I have two problems.  I have installed a clifford intelliguard 8000 and a Intellistart 4 Remote Start.  When I arm the car with the clifford remote, the alarm works fine.  But, when I disarm the alarm, the original factory car alarm starts to honk the horn, as if someone opened one of the car doors with the factory alarm armed.  How is the factory alarm being armed, and how do I disable it completey.

2nd, the intellistart is supposed to power my radio and accessories for up to 10 minutes, or until a door is opened.  The RS continues to power my radio even after I open the door.  It will not time out.  The only way I can get it to turn off is to arm my alarm and then disarm it.  Any help would be appreciated.

FACTORY DISARMLIGHT GREEN (-)at the PURPLE Plug, BCM, Pin B3 See NOTE *

diode isolate you unlock and this wire from the alarm, and it should solve the problem.

Thanks for the info.  After doing what you said, this only works half the time.
