How would i go about disabling the internal trunk release button while the car is switched off? Would i need some sort of relay?
The reason i want to do this is to prevent theives from smashing the window and having instanc access to whatever i have in the trunk.
Thanks

You could use a swtich to manually activate the button the easiest way, or you could use a relay wired off of something that is only on when the car is on.   Read up here https://www.the12volt.com/relays/relays.asp to get some good info about relays andhow to use them.
