I've recently installed a remote start in a 99 Chey malibu and a 96 Pontiac Grand Am. Both have passlock 2. When I finished the installation I would remote start the vehicle and it would either crank then shut off or it would do nothing at all. then I would try to start it the key and the vehicle and it wouldn't start . So then I disconnected everthing and placed everything back to factory setting now the Pontiac would start for like fifeteen seconds then it shuts off. Also the panel display does not light up anymore and I'm not able to turn on the radio.  are there any easy methods as far as bypassing passlock 2. Used to differant bypasses from Omega-Pl 2004  -- IB- PLXR.    As you can see I need help any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like the Passlock went into tamper mode. I have had to insert the key into the ignition and turn it to ignition and let it sit there until the security light goes out then the vehicle should start. As far as the options not working you need to check all the connections and fuses.. I have been using the PLXR but mostly for the VATS systems.. they work great so far....

Check the ignition switch for problems. You may have partially pulled out a wire in one of plugs or the plug itself.
