I've installed the Boa 265b on a '99 Escort. Everything is working fine, except that after remote starting, when the key put into the run position, the parking lights and dash lights start to flash continuously and the remote start module does not turn control over to the ignition. The car must be shut down with the remote, and then started normally with the key.
The Escort wiring diagram from boasecurity.com shows two parking light wires, one positive, and one negative. The Boa uses a negative parking light output, so I just hooked it up to the negative wire, and the parking lights flashed correctly during lock/unlock and remote start, so I figured it was fine. Could this be the problem?

is your brake wire connected? i dont see why it wouldnt allow you to take it over if your brake wire was connected... check that connect at the plug and make sure its getting 12volts to the unit.. if not.. go check out your connection at that wire.. also.. is there a factory alarm disarm and rearm you need to tap into also? the factory alarm may be going off or something

The brake wire is definitely connected and working correctly. It remote starts fine, and when the brake is depressed the car shuts down as it should.
There is no alarm on the vehicle.
Man, this really has me stumped.
