hey. im installing a ford remote start unit im my truck.  i have everthing hooked up.  it will lock the doors when i hit the lock button, and unlock them when i hit the unlock button.  but if i lock them then leave it for a while (like when im at work or going into a store)  when i come back to it and hit the unlock button, it disarms the alarm but doesnt unlock the doors. does anyone have a wire color/location sheet for a 2001 f-150?

thanks

sean

If equiped with factory keyless, lock is pink/lt. green unlock is pink / YELLOW.

Sounds like the GEM module is ur problem.  After the car sits for a few minutes it shuts down to conserve battery power.    You need to do what they call a "GEM Wake up."  Maybe someone else can give you information here on how to do this, cuz i dont have it in memory and ive lost my direct fax document for it.  GOOD LUCK
