I've never installed an alarm/remote start in an envoy, I instructed my customer to get the PLDATA-II but he returned with the PLDATA-III from crimestopper.  Has anyone ever used this module?  I was expecting to only have to splice into the purple ODB-II wire but this looks like it has to be spliced into a yellow wire near the ignition, and then turn a small screw until an led on the unit turns off.  Will this work or should I try and get the PLDATA-II or a DEI Passlock 2 bypass...thanks.

Should work basically your manually tuning the passlock resistance value. Just hook into the yellow passlock wire at the steering column and turn the pot until the led comes on or off whatever it's supposed to do and that should mean you have it set correctly.
