Good Afternoon,

I installed a DEI rattler and all is great, except I want tot rigger either (-) or (+) from the door locks to activate the R/S, so I may keep my OEM key fob. I did this in my wife's Caravan (I stumbled upon the wire in error).

I guess I am looking for the trigger from/to the BCM that leads to the locking system. That way when I Lock; Lock the truck with the OEM key fob I can have it R/S.  (Have the R/S activation (-) or (+) 2 pulses)

Any suggestions appreciated, I live in New England with no garage and it's been freezing so I don’t have the warmth luxury to poke and prod under the dash.

The problem you will have is the locking and unlocking system on the 03 ram is ground pulses through resistors.

Power  Lock:

WHITE/ GREEN

DRIVER'S KICK PANEL ****

Power  Unlock:

WHITE/ GREEN

DRIVER'S KICK PANEL **

Lock Requires A Ground (-) Pulse Through A 867 Ohm Resistor. Unlock Requires A Ground (-) Pulse Through A 364 Ohm Resistor. Diode Isolate One Of The Wires.

MECP certified (If it really means anything)

I tried to tap into the w/g wire, but the R/S (-) activation won't start from the wire with any resistors.  If I take off the resistor it will start, but on lock and unlock.

Do I need to hook up a relay?

Can you tap into the w/g wire to get an output from the system versus tapping into it to input a signal?

I know on the 02 Caravan I found a wire in the wheel well harness (g/w) that was (-) only during lock and used that wire, but I am unable to locate similiar on the Ram.

Thanks,

John
