1- the gmdl-bp says to hook up the OB-II wire last, while the gm-u7 says to hook up then plug the whole unit in while holding the program button. Is this still true and works without hurting anything?
2- The dome light input to door trigger output. Does this by any chance also elminate entering the doors to wire the door triggers? Meaning, when the door opens and the dome light comes on does the module send a ground down the wire to trigger the alarm?
Thanks for the help

the databus doesn't send a ground really, it's a coded computer line basically, it will handle everything and convert it all to nice little wires that you tie into your alarm, they really make it a breeze, find the right one (trc makes some) and you can get it to controll the windows even (depending on what vehicle you are running it on)
