Hey, i recently had the compustar 2w8000fmr installed and was wondering if there was a way to disable the rps (knock on windshield) feature without actually going the brain and removing the wires. I've looked at the manuals but it doesn't tell you how to disable it, it just talks about how to deactivate the beeping when you actually get a call.
The reason i want to disable it is because the past few days the knock sensor has paged me the past 2 days between 5:30am-6am, and i don't think its soemone playing a prank because the car is in a locked garage and i would be able to hear the garage open.
Any info on how to disable rps or fix this issue is greatly appreciated :), thx.

Go right to the brain and remove the wire out completely. This way you will at least eliminate one variable if the pager goes off again in the middle of the night. Try that first. Might be electric interferace going to the unit.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.Disable RPS on Compustar 2w8000fmr -- posted image.
