i installed a compustar 2w900fm on an 05 acura tsx/6spd about a week ago. this morning i went out to start the car with the key, it crank but won't start. after 30 minutes of frustration; (checking fuses and jump start the car), i decided to unhook the alarm and see what happens. for some reason i think it was the clutch, so i unplug my clutch bypass wire. start the car, VOILA!!! i plugged my clutch bypass wire back in and now the car is fine with remote or manual start. do anyone know why this happened??

Did you use the same status wire for both the clutch bypass and the Immobilizer module ? If so, did you diode isolate the status wire for both functions ? When I do manuals & there are 2 or more devices taht need to be triggered during remote start, I use a relay to boost the (-) signal of the status wire and then wire up as many devices necessary from the one relay. This is just a thought seeing that if the clutch was still operational & the starter engaged but did not start, I would believe it was the Immobilizer that kicked in........ not the clutch bypass.

Check your immoblizer bypass setup again. You don't have a clutch bypass problem.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.clutch bypass problem -- posted image.

if it was an immoblizer problem then i would be able to start it manually with the key. but i tried starting it with the key myself and it didn't start either.

Correction . If the car cranks and doesn't start, then the mmobilizer kicked in. The way the Immobilizer works is when something is not right ( like wiring, code variation or hard code ) the Immobilizer allows the starter to crank but no fule gets to the injectors and causes a no start fault. This will happen when you use your key or the remote starter. What bypass module did you use ? If it's not an updated software version bypass module, then your going to have problems withit. I had this exact same problem with an '05 Civic that I installed a module with an older software code on it and it would start great for about a month and then the customer would tell me that it wouldn't start for an hour and then it would all of a sudden be good again for about a week or so and then the same problem would arise.

Let me know what bypass module your using with the software version & hardware version.

Chances are the key is not seated properly or is just slipping out of the sweet spot once in a while
