First time posting up here. I have heard from many of my local forums you guys would be the ones to ask.

Well hooking up my 2 way compustar CM3000 brain and I am having difficulties. It is going on a Supra 95 model. Where would the (-) ignition output on CN2 wire into????? And with this wire not wired in properly would it be causing my tach learn to not function at all.

I hooked up the main harness without using the solid green wire and when pushing the tach learning switch it would indicate that the manual key is not in the on position. Okay so I hooked up the main green wire from CN1 - 7 to the 2nd igntion on the car which if I remember correctly was black orange. After hooking this wire up and pushing the tach learn button there is absolutely nothing to indicate an error or a resposne.  So did I hook the green wire to the wrong wire in the car? Or is it becuase I dont have CN2 - 3 (-) igntion output going anywhere.

Any advice would be appreciated. I also cant get my remote to program into the car after the lights blink the first time. I am wondering if this could be becuase I have not done the tach learn yet....??????

Thanks for any help and or comments. If you require anymore info about the install let me know.

did you hook the cn2-3 green ign output wire to your prewired relay there should have been a blue wire (i think) that didn't have anything hooked to it that where you hook the cn2-3 to  then the green wire to 2nd ign which I think you said you did. for programming the remote did you turn ign on and off five times then push button one on remote. tach can b e programmed anytime but it is better to do it after you have remote programmed.

if you have any other ?'s let me know

hawn13.....

I dont see any blue wire what so ever coming out of my pre-wired relay. And yes I did hook the the green wire from CN1 to the actual second ignition on the car. You are saying that the green wire from CN2-3 should goto a blue wire. Which terminal doeas that blue wire come out of the relay becuase I can wire it in that way.

As far as programming the remote there are a few things I am thinking that is not going on right. When I first bought my compustar I woke up the next day to find my dog had ripped apart the box and from what was left of the actual 2 way antenna and it;s wire (blue ends) it was destroyed. I bought a seperate antenna from my dealer and it was a different color than the first one. He assured me this would work. Can anyone confirm this???? I will get the model number from the antenna. Also I had to basically cut of the end of the remote pager...which I wont use and wire that into the antenna wire as one of the blue ends were destroyed from the dog. The wire colors were not in the same order so I did my best to match them up with the book. But i am thinking that the majority of my problem is coming from the antenna itself. Could this be a factor????

I will check out the antenna model code and get back to you. Otherwise can you let me know of that green CN2-3 wire.....

Thanks for your assistance thus far

Okay so model number off of antenna is FM-2W-433(s).....

I have CompuStar model 2WAMR...it is the red one with the clock feature on the remote and vibrate. I am thinkign there is something wrong with the antenna as I took the wire from the shock sensor which is complete and intact and hooked it up to the antenna (their connections are the same) and still got nothing to program the remote. The lights flash once after doing the key thing 5 times and then they flash twice after about 3 seconds.

Did I get sold the wrong antenna?????????

there should be a wire on the relay that is about 4-6in. long not hooked to anything and then your green wire. the shorter one is the one you need to hook the cn2-3 to this wire determines what you want the relay to do since you need the second ignition you hook the cn2-3 to it. now if you needed a second starter you would hook the cn2-5 to it. hopefully this helps

as far as your ant I would go back to the dealer and get a new wire for your ant this should solve all your programming problems.
