I've been on this site for weeks looking for tips on how to install my remote start unit with window module to my car. So far I've gotten allot of great advice from the "Masters". I've done many indash installs before, I just completed one that had a huge brain with 30+ wires and the results were clean. No wires showing, all connections crimped and 3m taped(noob bragging rights:) ).

I have a few other questions that I need answers for and I hope you guys can help. Here's what I have:

Car: 2000 Dodge Intrepid w/ black key (no need for transponder or bypass)

Alarm: Commando 5005 w/ window module and glass break rader

Questions?

1) What and where is the "Glow Plug"? and do I need this connected.

2) Besides what the 2000 Intrepid wiring diagram suggests, what other relays, diodes and resistors will I need and where?

3) Is the Tach wire locted on the engine head?

4) The remotes wireing diagram says to connect 3 differnt  connections to the battery constant 12v+ power, Can I put them together with seperat fuse holders?

5) Some connections the remote request are not on the 2000 Intrepid's diagram I got from the bulldog site i.e Glow plug and Passenger unlock. Do I need them? ( i know this is getting long)

6) The remote diagram asks for the oragnge wire to be connected to a"30 amp. Relay for Starter Disable Output(-)"? don't know aht this means.

Thanks a million. any help/advice is extremly welcomed!!!!!

Don't get tired, get get better.

"1)What and where is the "Glow Plug"? and do I need this connected."
Not require. Glow Plug is only use on Diesel engine only.
"2) Besides what the 2000 Intrepid wiring diagram suggests, what other relays, diodes and resistors will I need and where?"
You will need them only as suggested on the wiring diagram.
"3) Is the Tach wire locted on the engine head?"
Some time at the Injector. You will need to use a multimeter and set it on AC for meausurement. The signal will fluctuate between 1-8V AC when you press on the throttle.
DODGE, INTREPID, 2000, Tachometer
This vehicle has an ignition coil for each cylinder. For tach use a tan/stripe wire at any one of the coils.
"4) The remotes wireing diagram says to connect 3 differnt connections to the battery constant 12v+ power, Can I put them together with seperat fuse holders?"
Yes you can.
"5) Some connections the remote request are not on the 2000 Intrepid's diagram I got from the bulldog site i.e Glow plug and Passenger unlock. Do I need them? ( i know this is getting long)"
NO.
Better long and clear, then ASS-U-ME.
Power Lock      WHITE/ green       +       back of fusebox
DODGE, INTREPID, 2000, Power Lock
Locks are positive trigger through resistors. Use 2.7K (2700) ohms for lock and 620 ohms for unlock. MUST use relays.
"6) The remote diagram asks for the oragnge wire to be connected to a"30 amp. Relay for Starter Disable Output(-)"? don't know aht this means. "
Don’t do the starter disable until you have some basic knowledge as to how it works. Connect the starter wire directly to the starter wire on the vehicle. Get everything working first. Starter Disable is basically cutting the starter wire into two so the car will not start unless it is disarm properly.
Below is a wiring diagram the industry uses. It maybe of some use to you.

Hello,

This is my second post for the same issue. I'm almost complete with my install but I have a few more questions for the "Masters" like "thepencil"!  So far the car starts and lights flash when I arm/disarm it. Even the brake disable works fine. I just can't get the trunk to pop or the doors to lock/unlock. I think I may need a relay for the trunk because when I hit the remote for the trunk I don't hear a relay click in the module. However, I do hear the clicks for the lock/unlock in the module. PLEASE HELP, MY WIFE IS GOING TO KILL ME IF I SPEND ANOTHER DAY OUT THERE!!!!   Below are the cars specs and damage I've done so far.

Here is my cars diagram given to me by "thepencil": and below  is the FM-5005's alarm wiring diagram w/ notes of what i've connected and haven't connected so far. No relays connected as of yet. I have a about four I just bought.

Door lock wiring diagram. You may need to add relays for more current. Also, you may have to play around with different value resistor to get it just right for the door locks to work.
Your trunk release is POSITIVE. You will need to connect "RED / WHITE:Aux 2 Output (-) (Trunk)" to the trunk output of module as indicated on the wiring diagram.
