Hi,

Installing an alarm today on this unit, i was told that the power locks will become inactive after locking and closing the doors, and that the BCM on this vehicle sometimes will go on stand by and cause the alarm to give false reading. please help on how to bypass this.

thanks.

you have to trigger the door pin while you unlock to wake the locks up on this one. I think an 02 has a negative trigger door pin, but you may have to break the wire.
Northstart.....or start it your damn self.

You don't have to worry about the gem module shutting down in this car.  All you have to do is cut the BLACK/ orange wire in half and put a diode inline with the stripe side towards the gem module.  The nhook up the negative door trigger wire to the other side of the diode with the second half of the black orange wire.  Hope this helps.
