Wouldn't that be stupid as all hell??? You rev the car during remote start and then the remote start shuts down.

auex is right ...most remote starts have rev limiters.....if the tach goes too high it will shut the remote start down.....so that wouldn't work
Where theres is a wire there's a way.

Well it should shut down wether it is set to tach or voltage sensing.

I would also be very careful if you are going to try this. It could have adverse affects once you tie an alarm output onto this wire. It could potentialy ruin the BCM and around 800 to replace not the best idea.

Even without the risk to doing damage to the car, it wouldn't be worth the trouble, since your control signal would just be an on/off type.
If you had an R/C digital proportional control servo or something it might be interesting, since then you could make it seem like someone's in the car controlling it. With just some fixed RPM step up, it would probably just make it seem like the car's malfunctioning, and not all that cool-

it is possible to completly remote controll a full size automobile. You will need a Heavy duty Electronic servo for the throttle and a actuator from autoloc for the steering it can be done. Its ALOT of work though. Just ask the guys at myth busters. Oh cant forget about the breaks too. I saw at an R/C show a Radio controlled Powertoys Truck outfitted with a Brigs and stratton 5hp gocart racing engine. It was wicked cool.
