Well i have searched and I think I understand on my viper alarm how to use the starter wire but I just want to make sure:

stock line is cut, now have a motor side and a key side

Purple Goes to motor side, while Green goes to keyside

And the origional starter wire is never directly reconnected?

exactly, the relay satelite connects it unless the alarm is armed or the car is in RS mode
