im doing a remote start on a 2000 gmc seirra i have the bypass 555l for passlock 2 but this is my first pl2...my question is that i herd that if it does not program right after a few atempts you have to get it towed to gm...is it true...any info is welcomed

just hook it up right and u dont have to worry about that.......it is easy to hook up.....and i have never had to have one that had to be towed.2000 gmc seirra remote start -- posted image.

Where theres is a wire there's a way.

I have never had a problem with that. My only suggestion would be to ground the black wire of the 555l in the kick panel instead of using the ground referance wire.

what is the blue/black(-)status input wire and what does it go too

It will go to the ground while running wire on most remote starts if its a dei product it will be called the status output.
