We have been having security startup problems for a couple of months now, having to reset now several times a week.  I heard that you can cut some wires on the ignition to deactivate passlock but cannot find any inforamtion on this. Also have seen where when installing a remote start some GM passlock disabler??  Will this work without the remote start being added?

hi if you havent found your solution yet there is a set of wires behind the key cylinder which can be reached by removing the radio you will see the harness coming from the key cylinder they will be taped you will see thick 12g wires like pink, yellow, green etc.you will aslo find a black, yellow and whiteset of wires about 16g to find your resistance you need a meter that can read ohms ,,then cut the yellow wire in half place your red lead from meter on the side going to the key switch and strip the black wire and put your black lead to that wire make sure you dont crank the car or it will lock you out for about ten minutes put the car in reverse then try and crank the car you should get a reading for your resistance ,,,to make sure that you have the correct resistance hook up one side of the resistor to the black wire thats striped and the other to the yellow wire thats cut and is going away from the key switch if car starts your ok if noy security light will flash ,,just reconnect the yellow wire and turn the key foward and let the car sit with key on for 10 min
