I am installing a DEI remote start in a 2000 Ford mustang GT. The installation is almost done but I need to get past PATS. I have the DEI 555P and the instructions want me to connect:

1) The 555P pin 5 (Yellow / Black) to the Immobilizer data tap by tapping immobilizer pin 3 (usually Grey/Orange or Black).

2) The 555P pin 7 (Brown) to the Immobilizer sync tap by tapping immobilizer pin 4 (usually WHITE/ Green or Orange).

Easy except I don't know where the immobilizer unit is or another location for these two feeds.

Anyone know where the data and sync wires can be found easily?

Fast cars or fast women, that is a tough choice.

remove plastic column look near key cylinder. key cyl can be removed by inserting key turn to on position and use a straight pick to push in relaease ball jus left of key cyl
