I have a buddy who just called me and he just got done replacing the turn signal stalk on his s-10 and during the process he somehow tripped the PK2 security and now the truck wont run. will disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for 20-30 cure the problem? I've worked on tons of Gm's and never tripped it like that, so im not sure how to remedy the problem. The only thing he did during the installation was unbolt that large square junction block under the dash, so he's not sure if perhaps the ignition was on when he unplugged that connector so maybe thats what tripped the passlock? any advice would be great.

Unplugging the battery wont do anything. To reset PK2 just put the key in the ignition and turn it on for 15 minute. As soon as the security lamp stops flashing it should be good to go.
Northstart.....or start it your damn self.
