I have a 2005 forenza and my problem is I cannot lock the car with the remote but i can unlock it with the remote . I have hooked all the wires up (the hood pin switch wire ,the accessory wire ,ign wire ,both door lock wires, trunk release, horn wire) everything works except the lock on the remote. i can remote start the car , unlock the car , unlock the trunk, i just can't lock the car. the alarm is a direct tech 927 their tech support said this car does not need relays but when i'm sitting in the car and i press the lock button on the remote and the doors are already locked i can hear the doors trying to lock. does this mean i need relays or do i have the wrong wires very confused appreciate any help i can get                                                                                                                                                                        the current wires i'm using for lock is white and the unlock is PURPLE / white

Best way to check is to touch a GROUND wire to Lock or Unlock wire to see if both will work.  If so & your 927 does NOT then you will need 2 Relays.

2 SPDT Relays ( Single Pole Double Throw ):

Relay 1

LOCK:

PIN 87 = lt. GREEN / WHITE wire
PIN 87a = XX
PIN 30 = GROUND
PIN 85 = Negative Lock Output from 927
PIN 86 = Constant 12 volt ( + )

Relay 2

UNLOCK:

PIN 87 = white or yellow
PIN 87a = XX
PIN 30 = GROUND
PIN 85 = Negative UNLock Output from 927
PIN 86 = Constant 12 volt ( + )

I hooked the relays up just like you said and that caused the car to lock with the remote but not unlock does this mean i need to reverse the polarity or is there some other way to hook up the relays

Did you verify the UNLOCK wire in the Vehicle??
Do you have Output from the Relay?

Relay should make noise and you also should have NEGATIVE Output on PIN 87.
Be sure you are using SPDT Relays ( Single Pole Double Throw )
