i just installed a 2wssr system in my 2003 toyota matrix but i cant get the remote to program. i have done a search on this site and there is tons of information on this. i have tried just about everything to try to get this thing to work. i purchased two of these systems so have swaped out the brain and tried a second remote, still no luck so i'm assuming the trouble has something to do with my wiring. the only wire that i think might be causing my problem is the cn1 pin 7 GREEN/ red wire. in the manual it says that this wire will "monitor the status of the vehicle and for programming". were should this wire be connected?? i connected at the ignition harness to the wire providing 12v when the key is "on".

If you connected the GREEN wire to the BLACK/ white at the ignition then the other probable cause will be to relocate your ground wire to the system. Also, you must toggle the ignition 5 times within 3 seconds.
