I just tried installing a Compustar 1WAM-A in my '99 BMW M3 Convertible.

I am unable to program the remotes by turning the ignition on and off 5 times then depressing the lock button on the remotes.

It seems I was required to wire a diode on the parking light - output, otherwise when you pushed the hazard light switch in the car the lights will continue to flash even thought the button is up.

Here is how I wired my car:

Alarm Module        Factory BMW Alarm Pre-wired Harness

CN1

Siren +                    BLACK/ Blue
Parking Light +      N/A
Constant 12V        RED / Grey / YELLOW

CN2

Horn Output -          N/A
Aux 1 -                      N/A
Aux 2 -                      N/A
Starter Kill -             N/A
Ignition Sensing + Violet/White
Dome Light -           N/A
Rearm Output -      N/A
Disarm Output -      N/A

CN3

Hood Pin -                  Violet/GREEN/ YELLOW
Trunk Pin -                  BROWN / White
Door Pin -                    BROWN / Grey / YELLOW Drv side
Door Pin +                   N/A
Optional 2nd Stage - N/A
Optional 1st Stage -   BROWN / Blue / YELLOW Pax side

CN4

None                           N/A
Trunk Output -           N/A
2nd Pulse Unlock -  N/A
Unlock Output -         Blue/RED / Yellow via relay to switch pulse to +
Lock Output -             WHITE/ RED / Yellow via relay to switch pulse to +

The remaining CN5, CN6, CN7 and CN8 on the alarm module use the alarm pre-made molexes for LED, shock sensor, antenna, and paging(not used).

IGNITION sensing should be GREEN at the ignition harness. Make sure that this wire sees 12 volt switched otherwise the unit will not program. Also, you MUST toggle the ignition 5 times within 3 seocnds and press the LOCK button within this 3 second window otherwise it will not program. The wire you have the IGNITION  sensing may be right but your timing may be wrong.
