I have an 02 acura rsx and suddenly my compustar won't lock/arm. when I try it beeps 3 times and the remote shows an icon of the door lock pin going up and down. I've looked in tha manual and this icon isn't even listed. I've tried manually locking the doors and it still won't arm, doing the same thing.

The icon will either mean that one of your door wires is showing open when you try to arm or you can check your hood pin switch, this may also be in the open position. Make sure you are not getting a signal from any of these wires when tryin to arm the vehicle

Make sure that the AUTO option is not engaged. This is an option that detects the remote control within 50 -75 ft of the vehicle and auto locks and unlocks the car within these parameters. If this is not the case, remove the door trigger harness fromthe CPU and then try to lock the doors. Post your results.
