Anyway here is the story I am installind a bunch of remotestart/alarms prostar 3300's on the work trucks ford superduty's and chevy/gms 2500's all diesels.I am working on chevy.First the door lock unlock output doesnt work then when you turn the key to run position the truck starts bucking and trying to start. Then I had key in ign on run position so system would not keep rearming then I shut door but it was locked so I go get spare key put into doorlock and turn to unlock and freaking truck starts.Iam lost I have no clue but here is what I found all my ign/power wires are correct and I get right readings as well as with all triggers for hood switch ,lights horn etc when all is unplugged fron alarm. But when plugged in they get goofy like ign 1 output stayes on constant. Also this unit looks for tach sense wire needing 1-6 volts AC to program tach function is no wait to start wire on unit. was getting 7 volts then saw 12 dc.also lights dont flash right and wont go into valet I think I have fried 2 of them.Anywasys I figure I will order new system and in the meantime wire up the passlock module from DEI 457gw when I read instructions it says very bluntly do not connect to dash frame for ground you have to go to drivers kick panel to get a ground. Why is this and is this somehow running power through backfeeding all my modules burning them up and also freaking truck out i am lost

Vehicle Info please. Are you using the 457GW for the locks also? Depenging on the truck info, the locks may be part of the data bus system.
