I installed an Prestige asp905 in a 97 Chev Blazer with daytime runnig lights. Now the DTRLs are not working. I used the internal relay (white wires) to switch between the Red (12v) and the Brown at the Headlight Switch. What did I do wrong? Should have I used another 12v source?

Make sure e-brake is completely released....a single click can render the DRL inop. Temporarily disconnect e-brake wire then start with key and see.

Wow, okay, I beleve you but... the logic of turning off DRLs with the e-brake escapes me.

I will deffinatly try it when I see the vehicle over the holiday weekend... I did remove the release cable when I took the lower dash pannel off.

On many/most GM cars, applying the parking brake before turning the ignition on, will keep the daytime running lights from coming on.

Therefore, if the customer has forgotton to release the brake (or you forgot to reattach the cable), the DRLs won't work.

Also, nothing wrong with the way you wired up the parking lights with the APS-905. It would have saved a little time to just jump one of your white wires onto one of the thick red constant-power wires on the remote starter.....but your method is fine as well.

Hook up status output directly to the parking brake wire, this will resolve your issue.

Not really. Doing that will turn off the drl when the truck is remote started. He's having a problem with the drls working at all.

Cause I'm So white and nerdy...
