Going to do a remote start in this car. Anyone with any experience on the manual trans car?? Anything out of the ordinary? Looks like all have the transponder.. Any help would be great... Thanks

Not all have the transponder. Look for the security light flashing on the cluster.

--I haven't seen an '07 Camry without a transponder yet, not even the CE.
--There is no factory alarm, and no power trunk release, on the CE.
When reading wiring diagrams, ignore anything that mentions trunk release or alarm arm/disarm, because you have neither.
--There are safe and unsafe methods of doing remote start on manual transmissions; use the search feature here for details.
The moderators of this forum will delete or lock out posts looking for help using the unsafe methods.
There are remote start units available that are specifically designed for manual transmissions. The safety features will make the unit less convenient to operate, but then again, people are far less likely to get hurt.

Once again Chris, you are correct. I thought i remember doing a few without immobilizers, so i did a check at www.toyota.com and sure enough it is standard on all Camrys. I could have sworn i've seen some without...

Yes i realize the safety aspects of the remote start in a man. trans. And I have the model specifically designed for the man. trans.. What I was looking for was input from others who might have done the man Camry.. And thanks for your input..it is great..
