2001 Civic and 556H

If anyone knows what it could be I hope they post.

I always use the 556u on hondas with no problem but occasionally I have to send the customer to the dealer to buy a second key if they don't have one.

I don't have alot of experience with the H but if you get it to work I would really like to know what caused the problem myself so I can use them in the future. I am not at all afraid of change and trying new things but sometimes newer products have glitches so I tend to stick with what works for me until something else proves reliable in the long run or after they get all the "bugs" out.

You state all your solder connections are good. If thats the case it could be your wiring but since you also state that it works sometimes I think it may be a glitch or something is causing a no read or improper value and it would be impossible for me to troubleshoot that without actually metering everything myself.

Jworm, that PKH3 looks like a nice unit. I think I am going to try it out. Honestly, there is not much to go wrong with a 555U since it is nothing more then a coil of wire and a relay but this seems like a good way to go keyless as i too have heard the DEI keyless bypasses are crapola.

The last company I worked for only carried DEI so I didn't have much of a choice but I am starting with a smaller company soon that will allow me to have more control over products we use.

Do you know the price of that PKH3 off hand?
