Hi I have a scion tc 07 and i installed a viper 791xv but i don't like it because it's only a 1/4 mile range and i want to upgrade to the viper 5900 one mile range and i don't know what i need.  I've been looking around and i can find anything about it so im wondering if anyone here knows anything about it? I've heard that i could just change the remote. or change the remote and the box or change the remote and the antenna.  I don't know which one it is so i'm asking if anyone would know?

the clifford responder is the same- you can get a more advanced clifford- but it probably is not needed.

Did you coil up the antenna wire and is the ground good. All the 791xv i've done have had great range on them.

did you stretch out the antenna or leave it bunched up under the dash? best to stretch it out as much as possible. Also if you have the antenna in the tint band of the windshield, it can affect range.
