I have a 2005 Pontiac Bonneville SE

I had a Python 1400XL installed.

When the car is running, the lock, unlock and trunk release keys do not work on the Python fob however they work just fine using the factory fob AND they work fine when the car is off.

The installer said the car must be blocking the commands while it is running, however they didn't know at the time the factory fob works. I figure if there isn't something they are missing I will have to have it removed and will end up with the add-on unit as I do not want to carry two fobs with me.

On a side note, I was driving home today and hit the 'lock' button on the new fob, of course nothing happened but about 4 minutes later when I got home and turned off my car my doors locked almost instantly (after unlocking from the shift to park).

Any idea's? Thanks!!
