hi, im installing a remote start in my mom's 2004 lexus rx  330 and i cant find the hood  pin - input, the diagram says its in the driver kick gray harness that the wire is black to red, but im looking at the kick panel and there's not gray harness?  Also, the unit is a DEI hornet system and where do it tap into for the wire that says (-) remote start activation input?

there often isnt a connector for a factory hood pin... i always install my own.....

also, you dont need to hook up the - activation wire... this is there in case you want a different device to activate the R/S unit.....

usually for the immobilizer, the 556u unit, do you guys just install the atenna ring before the transporter?  Or cut the ring and wire it to the transporter?  The unit also ask to insert a key into the interface too?  why is that?

556u required a spare key. don't cut the transponder ring. its a universal bypass module, therefore required a key. id use a keyless bypass 555f or pkt, if compatible.
Hood Pin red to black (-) driver kick, gray 18 pin plug
