i have a quick question on hooking up the 791xv remote start,

for the heavy guage wire the purple and green wire both connects to the starter wire,

the purple is on the starter side

the green is on the key side

so does this mean i just cut the starter wire in half?  and then tap the  purple to the starter side and the green to the key side?

OR

do am i NOT suppose to cut it and just T tap it to side its suppose to be on?

thanks...

this topic is a massive repeat, but anyways
your suppose to cut the starter wire in half, and purp to starter and green to key side.

I would strongly recommend soldering this connection since if the connection fails the vehicle will not start.

If you do not want to connect starter-kill, you  can just tap the purple wire onto the vehicle's starter wire and leave the green wire unused. If you do want starter-kill, the above stated is right...

the benefit is the antigrind feature, this way when the car is remote started, you cant grind the starter by turning the key too far.

great built in feature....if your car has a factory immobilizer built in and you DONT want the starter kill or anti grind feature...just connect the purple wire and cap/tape off the green wire
