2005 2007 impreza

There has to be a way to arm and disarm the factory alarm other than with the factory remote. The alarm will arm when manually locking the door with it open, so that can be a way to get around the arming, but inserting key in the door and unlocking doesnt seem to disarm. help!

nope, there isn't......i think you can put the factory alarm in valet mode though......open the drivers door, and hold either the lock or unlock button....can't remember which one, but i think it is lock. Anyways, hold the button down for about 6 seconds, this should put it in valet. I'm not completely sure it will work on this car, but this is how i used to disable the alarm on the subies i've done..........i think this info is also in the owners manual.
