i have a compustar 2wfm-as alarm with remote start and a 530t window module the alarm works fine but im having problems with the window module its all wired up and the one touch down/up works on both windows but on the alarm when i hit the aux button it rolls them up like an inch so i wired it up to a relay with a cap hoping that the cap would stay charged for 4.5 to 5 second to roll the windows all the way up well it did it once and the i rolled the windows back down and hit the button again and nothing happened well then i later found out that the aux output is not puting out a negative pulse anymore instead its a constant negative now. so when i touch the wire from the 530t to the aux output on the compustar the windows automaticly roll up without touching nothing.so i was wondering did i burn the channel up or something? any help would be  appreciated.

you probably had it wired to pulse only.  When you hit the aux once it will "vent" the window.  Its meant to do that. when holding the button for 4.5 secs it will roll all the way down.  There probably was no need for the relay you were using.  You needed to have the aux on validity in order to work, it was probably on pulsed.

You can't do validity on compustar it's only a timed pulsed output or a latched output validity is a dei option

really? did not know that.  validity gives a pulse on DEI alarms as long as you hold the button.  would that mean you wouldn't be able to vent the windows???

I asked about this too for my Compustar unit and I was thinking of goign with the 530T...

It was suggested to me to use the latched setting. If you time it right, you should be able to turn it on/off to vent or leave it latched for the 5 seconds to open all the way... I've not actually tried it though...

Program it to latch and please let us know if it works ok like that. I'd be interested in hearing about it...

it sounds like you damaged the output of the Compustar alarm.  If you didn't change the programming but the output is now on 100% of the time I would suspect hardware failure.
