03 suzuki grand vitara, alarm/remote start

hi all I have a 2003 suzuki grand vitara with no factory alarm. Basically i want to add a remote start/alarm. Do i need a thingy to bypass the factory engien imobilizer?

According to directechs you do not need a "thingy" for the 2003 suzuki vitara and you should make all your connections at  The BCM (Body Control Module) which is below the radio.

all connections expect for the heavy gauge wires which you would connect at the ign harness
