My car is in the shop right now and they disconnected the battery... i have a few questions about this. Number one will the alarm go off when the battery is reconnected? and number two will i lose any of my settings?

it the alarm was disarmed before the battery was unplugged, then the alarm will not go off when plugged back in.
Settings does not get erased.
Note: You Always Dont Get What You Pay For.

nothing will get erased? like where the RPM is set at for remote start, etc?

nope you should be fine. Besides if it does lose the tach signal its pretty easy to reset. Start car, within 5 seconds press and hold valet until LED lights up constant. Good to go

Im pretty sure you when you start the car you have to hold the valet switch for 5 secs.  You will hear a click from the alarm and with that you will know that the alarm tach wire has been programmed.

yeah most control modules keep memory of the last tach that was programmed.
