alarm programing latched

i have a black widow alarm and im trying to get the aux/trunk wire to switch from the momentary setting to the "latched" setting,,, but i cant get it to work.

i press the valet button 5 times then 9times for the aux and then bottom#4 for latched... but its not switching over.. im at my wits end with this thing,, what im i doing wrong

Turn the ignition to the run not start setting. Push the valet 5 times the alarm should chirp. Pust the button the number of times to match the desired setting the alarm should chirp along with each push. Push the corresponding button on the remote.

Models I have in the shop number 12 is the aux 2 mode and button 3 on my remotes make it latched but it could be different on yours. There are a couple of models floating ou there.
