colorado starter kill

Im hooking up a Viper791xv Using an XK06 with the PLXR package up this weekend in my colorado and i was wondering how the starter kill on the alarm would get hooked up

i beleive the starter relays have built in starter kill. I might be wrong. If your alarm has the ARMED output when armed connect like so.

1) Cut starter wire in half, leave some wire to work with.

2) Connect ground (-) when armed from RS to relay Terminal 853) Connect Starter wire (MOTOR SIDE) AND Remote Start WIRE together. Wire to relay Terminal 87a4) Connect Starter Key Side (ignition cylinder) wire to relay Terminal 305) Connect Jumper Cable from relay Terminal 86 to relay Terminal 306) Place Diode across relay Terminal 85 and 86 (diode with white Line to Terminal 85)

If you are looking for extra protection from the starter kill circuit you would need to interrupt the starter wire under the hood at the PCM on the Colorado. The Colorado has built in anti-grind, over crank protection and anti-theft. Adding the starter kill circuit would provide additional protection however not really necessary. If you decide not to use the additional starter kill circuit you would not need the green wire on the XCRS at all and the purple would only be used for a bypass module. Installing a remote start in the Colorado can be a little troublesome for someone doing it for the first time. I tried the xk06 about a year ago. They must have done updates on the programming. That's good as I would rather use the x-press kits.

I just installed on a 2008 Canyon a couple weeks ago. Use the resistors and relays. I tried 2 different bypass modules and none worked xk06 with new firmware as needed and an omega piece. But the relays and resistors worked fine.

well, im going to try the xk06 flashed to plxr because thats what we carry at work, should that fail then i will try th pljx. so for the starter wire i just cap the green and use the purple wire on the bypass?
