Hi Group, I saw someone where you can install certain wires on a GM regulator to be able to use an alt. with an internal regulator. Does anybody know the link for such info.? Thanks

OK Slowride- there's a few links for you to check out. Most of these are links to multiple sellers- there's just too many who sell one-wire alternators to list individually. I personally don't like one-wire alternators- the regulators on most of them tend to be problem prone, but they are easy to rebuild if a problem crops up, and an 'emergency' conversion to standard 3-wire is simple if it ever becomes necessary. Street & Performance has a very good one, but it does cost more.
You can also check out a Kragen or a Checker if you have one near you- they do stock them, they can get them in various colors as well as polished, and the warranty is a selling point.

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
