Hi, so I'm new to relays and i have been trying to find out how to use my alarm aux wire for a fuel kill switch, so that there is no actual switch in the car. I was wondering how i would wire it up so when i press the aux button on the remote it cuts power to the fuel pump, how would i go about wiring this in? The car is a 2001 Acura Integra, and the alarm I'm using is a CompuStar PRO2WSHA.

if this system has remote start capability.. this is a bad idea... if u wire if up that way... and then forget u have it engaged and trigger remote start... the car will only crank... giving your starter a workout if u aren't around to realize that your 'fuel kill is engaged"... the way to do it would be to connect your kill relay to the output ground while armed.... that way everytime u arm your system..... it will automatically engage your fuel kill option.... and if u wanna use remote start.. u can wire another relay to bypass that kill automatically for remote start to the ground out while running.... make sense??? lemme know if this helps.....

if not equiped with alarm.. u just have to program your aux output to latched... then when u press the aux button... it needs to be wired to open the circuit... and to stay open until u trigger it to disengage.... i don't know alot about relays... gimme a lil while... after this beer...lol.... i will try to put together how to wire it and connect your relays....

the alarm does NOT have remote start. So how would i go about wiring it so that it kills fuel when i hit the AUX no when i arm the Car?

you wont be able to program the output AUX unless your a dealer and own the OP500. if you decide to do a fuel pump kill, and dont driver the car after 2 days or so, your battery will die.

So why would the battery die after 2 or so days?

Is this for a carjacking application so it doesn't need to be disabled at any time other than when you press the aux button?
You can wire in a relay so that you can kill power to the pump when it's running and the aux is pressed, but if the car is turned off and on again it'll reset and allow power to pass to the pump again.
If you want it latched regardless of the ignition being cycled off and on again, then it would take a bit more to do.
You could use an impulse relay, which latches in position without continually drawing power.
Problem with the impulse relay is then you have to always toggle it when you drive the car and won't know which position it's in without some more complex scheme to give you some indication.
Improperly set up relay circuits that draw power when the car's off is what would kill the battery in a couple days-
The first method won't draw any power until you kill the pump, and that's when the car is switched on, so it shouldn't be a problem.

the car batt will die because eventhough the relay is not on, one of the coil is energized and it draws about 150 mah. 150 milli amps might not be alot but over 2 days it can drain your battery.

The relay is not on, but the coil is energized.     I thought the coil being energized is what turns the relay on.
