relay for auto open?

has anybody ever done the relay for auto-open,follow the diagram but it does not work.

Do you mean auto unlock perhaps and please read again the last few words "depending on vehicle application".
Please elaborate and explain why it doesn't work.

Yes that is what i meant.the schematic i was referring to is the one on this site.did auto lock by using the ignition wire to the starter it works fine but could'n figure out how to do auto-unlock.

connected the relay as per the diagram with the capacitor and resistor but when i connect the power it doesn't activate the relay,unless i connect the wire on pin 86 to ground and not the ignition 12v wire.

2002 s 10 with aftermarket door locks.

Then the terminal at 86 is still seeing pos, you have to make sure it's seeing a neg, check the diode and capacitor (condensor) polarity.

Purple ignition wire goes to ground, when ignition is switched off.
The first diode, make sure the band is towards the ignition conditions it to a definite negative.
This is constant so the cap and resistor bleed it off to 0.8 seconds.
The caps + mark should go to the green relay side.
