Sorry for the stupid question, but this is what I have right now. I have a underbody neon kit with a 30amp relay with a small toggle switch, This is what I want to do, I've got a broken switch that fits into a stock location on my dash, so I gutted the switches from behind the buttons and mounted momentary switchs behind the buttons to use the stock housing. Now I need to figure out how to use the momentary switches. Any help would be great.

Is this correct. If so I have a couple more questions. What size relays and what size diodes ? Sorry about the questions, but like I said I'm really super new to this also, I really have a passion to learn this. Thanks for the help. Tray.

1 amp diodes are fine. You can use any SPDT relay as long as your circuit does not exceed the current rating of the relay.

Karl, Thanks a lot for your help. Was everything else on little diagram fine ? If so, I'll try it out this evening, also what is the typical price for SPDT relay. Local Radio Shack didn't have any, so I went to best buy to price them from the install bay, they charge $12 each, I thought that was out of sight so I did bother. I'll got to AutoZone and see what they have.

I would also recommend that you do buy the relays that have a quenching diode in series of the coil. Also, buy the female 5 pin connectors for termination of the relay to your set-up.

This will allow you to have a trouble free installation without worries of loose crimps, or intermittent contacts to the relay terminals due to improper insertion of the connectors to the pin outs.
