trying to install a viper 160vx remote starter and pkfm(xk04)to a 2006 ford taurus. first is it ok to wire the tach wire to the odd color wire on fuel injector. i'm using a dmm to test wire but only get 1 or so volts that doesn't change when i rev motor. second the xk04 doesn't seem to be programming, the light blinks once every 3 to 3 second and never changes. car starts right up if i put key in ignition. I've tried switching around on the pats with no luck. been trying to program this for 3 days now and i got one heck of a headache . So if anyone can help please do.Thankstach wire -- posted image. ps, they need a smiley with a guy pulling his hair out!

The uncommon injector wire is what Audiovox has listed for tach.

Yes, but set your tach to low.
As for the XK04.
Plug it in,
key 1- on till security light goes out
key 2- on till security light goes out
then remote start it.
simple
You have 2 factory keys right?
