i installed a bull dog rs1200ep in my s10.  every thing works fine except the engine light comes on... bull dog keeps telling me its the 2nd ignition wire, but the wire is not loose anywhere.  is there a 3rd ignition on this vehicle? or another accessory wire that might not be hooked up.  i used the t-harness they supplied, but its all been a pain since day one.  i dont recommend anyone ever get there products.  can some one please help me?

Joe there are two diagrams in this post. Did you hook up both ignitions? The pink and the white?

yeah i hooked up the pink and the white.  bulldog told me to jump a brown wire to the orange accessory in the ignition harness.  i just dont trust what they say any more.  i have been getting the run around since november from them.  also there is two wire diagrams on this site.  one shows 3 ignitions and the other shows hvac 1 &2.

didn't use the tach. i used the tachless mode because the vehicle runs fine without it. bulldog told me that it had somthing to do with the second ign wire, but one of the diagrams in this post shows 3 ign wires. would it help to hook up the 3rd wire?

It says 3rd ignition: N/A, so you don't have a third ignition.

did you check to see if the bulldog unit itself is indeed powering up the pink/white 2nd ign line?
bulldog is notorious for faults such as those,
we even refuse to install their product.

even though it does power up, my engine light stays on.  i redid all of my connections last night and i am just waiting for the engine light to go out so i can see if it was just a bad connection.  does any one know how to get the light to go off?
