I have 2 Mtx 8000 and a RF 360a2
Everything is hooked up except the remote wire this is where i need help. There is the Factory Amp in the trunk is there any way to tap into the remot on that amp or am I going to have to get under the dash?
also isint there a inline converter that will give me a 12v signal from the speaker wire ?

Check for a White wire in cavity A5 of the amps larger plug. This is your amp turn on wire. There is no such device to convert a speaker level signal into a switched 12 volt trigger.

just find the auxillary drop down in our cars.  This site wrote up a nice how to for it: http://www.impalahq.com/HowTo/Aux_Connector.html

I was going to explain it but they have pics and diagrams so much easier to just provide the link.

Thanks Kar TuneMan. I never knew anything like that existed. I would still use the factory trigger, but if that unit works, its a pretty slick idea. I am not sure if some of the GM amps in the newer cars would like to see the load that the unit presents. They are pretty finicky,
