weird 2003 ford f150 horn wire

The harness comes out on the left side of the steering column...Big bundle...Its in the same harness you find the 12v Violet/green ig,blue/grren and starter, RED / blue......the horn will be the only smaller guage blue in this harness.

first, ryudapump, that's not how this is setup i think. on the bottom of the steering column, there is ONE screw on the left side (drivers side) and 2 on the right (passenger).  did you say it backwards?   second, i think i know the hole you're talkin about on the botton of the column.  why should i have to push it up and take the ignition module out?  i removed the 3 screws yesterday, and the bottom shroud pupped down.  it was kinda jammed where it connects to the dash, but i'm sure i can wiggle it out.  

judging by hwo the wires are all tucked up in there, i don't think i can tap onto one from there.  i was hoping i can find it under the dash somewhere easier, where i can cut it, and tap into it for the switch. (i'm wiring in a toggle switch so he can use the regular horns, or the air horns) . 

someone told me it would be easier to disconnect the battery, pop the two plastic covers off the back of the steering wheel,  and remove the airbag assembly.  true?  is this dangerous with the airbag?  i work on diesel trucks for a living, so this is a bit different for me!

i gave you the wrong info i think.....its the old body style f150, right? if so, pull the underdash down, and to the right of the column you will find a 7 or 8 pin plug........you can get your blue horn wire there.

you the man!  yes, it is the "old" body style.  it's the body style that was from 97-03. (actually this is an 04 heritage, which is the old body style... they made both in 04). 

so that panel just pulls off?

you're absolutely sure that's the right blue wire?   caus i looked up under there the other day and saw a couple blue wires on different connectors

hey man, i went and loked at it.  if i look under my dash, i do see 3 connectors that are on teh passenger side of the steering column (tucked up a bit... bout 6 inches).  but, i do not have a white one.  i have GREEN brown and black.  the brown one has a solid blue wire on it, but so does the green one!   i guess i'll just cut them both and see which one makes the horn stop blowing!
