I HAVE A  ECLIPSE AVN5500  THAT I PUT IN MYSELF ( PART OF THE PROBLEM, LOL)  i own a 2003 Tahoe and i ran the VSS wire i ran all the way to the ECM (GREEN/ blk wire) via what i was told to do by a local shop... it worked!, however , when i turn on the GPS/NAV, it shows when im moving, the problem is ...when i stop.. it keeps moving ...slow.. and if i turn, it usually goes to the next block and then corrects itself, but never stops whn i do..... where did i go wrong ??? i did NOT use a  GMOS-01, i used a different harness..i lost my ONSTAR.. no biggie but the guys at circuit city said if i used the GMOS-01 it has the VSS wire... if i get that will that fix the "not stopping issue"   ??  or can i "tap" into a wire behind the cluster somewhere and will it WORK RIGHT ???  HELP ! Any correct info is appreciated !

Maybe the GREEN/ Black wire has you tapped into the soul of the vehicle and it is showing you that it does not want to stop.

It may not be in the radio harness on a Tahoe, only certain trim levels have it. Worse case it ain't there, remove the 4 7mm bolts on the cluster and remove it- it's in the plug for the speedo....

That would be impossible, GM sold off their souls in the late 90s.....

Thats really funny.

The company as a whole did as are speaking of.  However there have been many Rebellious Employees who claim they never got the memo.  So there are still a few new vehicles with a little soul.

Find a volt meter that reads frequency and hook it up to the VSS wire and see what it is doing.  You can also use it to determine which is the correct wire behind the cluster.
