Ok I have a 98 Chevy Suburban and I was looking at putting two LCDs in the headrests or getting one that mounts on the head liner and flips down. I have around $650 to spend and I was wondering what to buy. Either option would be fine ,but I want good quality monitors (not anything from wal - mart or Sams). Any suggestions?

I used Power Acoustik monitors in the headrest and got a Pioneer in dash for the front As far as flip down I dont have any good ideas, but I picked up my power acoustiks for about $125 each and did the install myself, its really pretty easy.

Check ebay and the forums, usually find good deals there.

Does anyone know if the Power Acoustik PT-712MHR is a good monitor. What about the Alpine TMA-580 or the Clarion VMA-6593 or VMA-7191 are any good. I cant decide what to buy.

go with the alpine, duh, haha  The resolution i believe is the highest out there for the size right now......whats that mean??  it means a way clearer picture period,,especially on sunny days where other units suck.

I've also read that the Alpine has a 120 degree viewing angle while the Clarion only has like a 15-22 degree viewing angle. I would have one monitor in the headrests of the driver and passenger seat so there would be one person sitting in the middle seat on the middle row watching also. Would this effect the persons view of the screens that much? If it does I need to find a less expensive monitor. I will go with the alpine if it goes on sale at any of the car audio dealers in my city but I need an alternative with a good viewing angle thats around $320 each at most which would have to include headrests mounting brackets. Pleasee help me with this ,and thanks for everyone that has responded so far. I was hoping more people would post.$650 to spend on two LCDs? -- posted image.
